Before running JVFAX, you should first print out the manual 'ENGLISH.DOC'
and read it carefully.
Tot print out 'ENGLISH.DOC', set your printer to 12 cpi character width
and use "COPY ENGLISH.DOC LPT1:" This should do on every 'compatible' printer.
It might be very helpful to have the file 'INTERF.DOC' also printed.
In this file you will find some useful hints for the adaption of JVFAX to
different interfaces etc.
New features of JVFAX 6.0, wiht respect to older versions are:
- transmit and receive SSTV in the most commonly used modes
- picture masks for prettier geostationary satellite pictures
- up to 192 dates in one date file
- contrast/brightness adjustment and histogram equalization for picture
post processing
- finally, the HAMCOMM transmit/receive switching does work
- generate transmit audio on the TxD line
- Up to 20 defineable FAX modes
- automatic weather movie generation of zoomed picture portions
- an additional 640x480x256 movie mode for users of ET4000 graphics cards
- 'true' squelch mode with noise detection for the unattended reception of
low orbiting weather satellites.
